OPODO CEO TO BECOME DIRECTOR GENERAL AND CEO OF IATA

| London, March 21, 2002. Opodo, a leading pan-European travel portal, today confirmed that CEO Giovanni Bisignani is to become Director General and CEO of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Commenting on his appointment Mr Bisignani said: "I am deeply honoured to have been asked to join IATA at such a key time. Having been in the travel industry for nearly 20 years I have watched the pivotal and influential role that IATA plays within international aviation and the travel sector generally. Pierre Jeanniot has done an incredible job in transforming the organisation and I will build on the infrastructure he has put in place. "As the aviation industry develops to accommodate new technology and increased competition, so the marketplace is changing. I look forward to leading IATA through these changing times and supporting a vibrant and thriving airline industry. "At the same time I am sad to be leaving Opodo which I have seen through from conception to becoming a leading European travel portal. I have built a dynamic team and I am confident that Opodo will go from strength to strength." Opodo Chairman, Felix Garcia Viejobueno, said: "Since his appointment as CEO of Opodo in February 2001, Mr Bisignani has been the inspiration and driving force behind the company, taking it from concept to reality. He has built up a strong, dedicated team of professionals, from all disciplines, who have been instrumental to the success of Opodo. "Within 10 months of his appointment, Mr Bisignani had successfully launched the first Opodo site in Germany. This was followed by the UK site in January 2002. Both sites have seen a record number of both visitors and sales - exceeding targets - and both have been rated in the top 3 travel sites in their respective countries. The French site will launch in April and the company is on course to launch throughout Europe during 2002 and beyond. "Opodo's strategy is clear and I am confident that the strong and dynamic team that Mr Bisignani has built, and that has been responsible for Opodo's success so far, will maintain its momentum and achieve its objective of making Opodo the market leader across Europe."
