CRM Manager , based in London or Leicester
Purpose
To manage the UK weekly newsletter and all targeted email communication. To build the Opodo.co.uk newsletter subscriber base, to maximise the lifetime value of the customer and to act as customer champion within UK business.


Responsibilities:
UK Head of Marketing

  • Understand and communicate the Opodo segmentation and profiling data to all parts of the UK business
  • Working with the UK Head of Marketing to establish and execute the UK CRM strategy
  • Drive sales and customer acquisition through CRM to target
  • Use e-CRM tool and other available data sources, to identify and target key customer segments within the Opodo customer database
  • Manage the end-to-end process for distribution of the weekly newsletter, i.e. briefing site editors and designers, sourcing offers from Product Managers and distributing the email
  • Work closely with the UK merchandising Specialist, online and offline marketing managers and the UK Sales Centre Manager to ensure consistency of message across channels
  • Work closely with the UK product managers to leverage commercial arrangements with suppliers
  • Grow the UK subscriber base through promotional activities like viral games, onsite promotions and bespoke lead generation campaigns
  • Understand UK competitors' database marketing activities, identify threats and opportunities
  • Liaise with the CRM Managers in Opodo’s other European markets to share best practices
  • Develop and communicate the Opodo Customer Charter and ensure that this is embedded across the organisation
  • Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of e-CRM tools, database marketing, implementation techniques, personalisation and rules based campaign management.
  • Proven track record in implementing and managing CRM/database marketing solutions, preferably in an online, B2C environment
  • Proven track record in sales driven database marketing, with customer development and lifetime value targets.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and operational skills
  • Strong team player: open minded, entrepreneurship mindset and at ease with constant change
  • Desirable Skills:

  • Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Emailvision or similar email ASP solution
  • Budget management
  • Proficient in Business Objects
  • MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • SQL an advantage but not required
