The Opodo team, is structured into seven major departments:
Responsible for the overall running of the Opodo project, building the new organisation and leading the notification process with the EC.
Responsible for Brand development and all sales and marketing activities
focussed on attracting the target customer to Opodo.
Responsible for identifying and contracting with a range of partners that bring both inventory and generate traffic for the site. Marketing partners include airlines, hotel groups, car rental companies, holidays package, insurance, financial services. Content providers include destination guides and user generated content. Traffic providers include ISP and portals.
Responsible for identifying, contracting and building the technology platform required to support the Opodo product. This group manages the overall delivery and identify future platform expansion.
Responsible for establishing the customer services and fulfilment functions necessary to support the running of Opodo. Service providers include fulfilment and credit card processing companies as well as travel agency outlets.
Responsible for establishing a winning business culture that is enabled by strong organisational values.
The Finance department is involved in all projects and activities where there is a financial implication to the business, to ensure that the accounting flow of the transactions is reported correctly. The department is responsible for the purchase & sales ledgers, management reporting and financial operations.
