Why was the name Opodo chosen?
Opodo stands for "Opportunity to do" and was created to reflect our personal online service that will open the doors to a world of new and inspiring travel experiences. The name captures the spirit of our vision and the essence of our company. And when we asked travel consumers throughout Europe, they voted unanimously for Opodo.

Opodo is a true pan-European company, with its headquarters located
in London and offices throughout Europe.

Yes, Opodo is managed by an independent Chief Executive Officer and executive team who are dedicated to serving the interests of travel customers.

What technology supports the Opodo service?
We've gone to great lengths to ensure that our website is designed
for quick and easy use. We've also deployed state of the art technologies
to build our travel reservation system.
Our reservation system utilises a highly functional search and booking
platform from Europe's premier reservation system provider - Amadeus.
The Opodo system will scan a wide range of products based on travellers'
preferences in terms of timing, price, provider etc. The system then
identifies the best options available to the traveller and allows
them to promptly book the flight, hotel or car that best suits them.
Overall, we are committed to ongoing investment in our technology platforms to ensure that booking travel online is an enjoyable and efficient experience with us.
Does the name Online Travel Portal Limited still exist?
Prior to launching the Opodo brand, we were known as the Online Travel Portal Limited. We have now changed our company name to Opodo Limited.
